Prof. Dr. Peter JORDAN

He studied geography (with specialisation on cartography) and ethnology at the University of Vienna. Since 2007 he works at the Institute of Urban and Regional Research, Austrian Academy of Sciences. Professor Peter Jordan has published 235 scientific publications and more than 200 scientific presentations in Austria and abroad.

He serves as a Honorary Member of the Croatian Geographical Society and Hungarian Geographical Society. Since 2007, he has been an honorary professor at the Babes-Bolyai University Cluj-Napoca.
Professor Jordan is a member of the International Cartographic Association (ICA), Southeast Europe Association, and he also serves as a permanent member committee on geographical names (PCGN).
His main interest is in the atlas cartography, tourism geography, toponomastics and many others.
