prof. Liu Yaolin  (1960) comes from  China.
He is a Chair Professor of GIS, a Director of Ministry of Education Key Laboratory for GIS, and a Dean of the School of Resources and Environmental Science at Wuhan University, China, which is regarded as China's base for cartography education.
He studied at the China University of Geo-Science ( Msc.) and Wageningen University in the Netherlands (Ph.D.).
Liu Yaolin is a Vice President of the International Cartographic Association (ICA), a member  of Geomatics and Information Science of Wuhan University and a member of Editorial Bored of Bulletin of Surveying & Mapping and others.
His main interest is in the cartography in early warning and crisis management and geospatial analyses and modelling.
